How to create a watermark in Picasa3

How to create a watermark in Picassa 3

1. Down the free software Picassa3 from the net on your desktop. It is a free software and can be downloaded easyily. Just follow instructions The following is the link http://picasa.google.com/

2. Create a new folder for the photos you want to add the watermark

3. First Method

Select a picture from your file

4. Right click on the picture and select the tab ‘open with’ and you will get a drop down for you to select. Then click on view with Picassa viewer.

5.  Your picture will open in a new file and you have the Picassa editor tools

6. There are two options to use the edit button. Go to the edit button on the tool tabs or right click on the picture and edit through Picassa  edit . Now you will have a new page of Picasa and all its tools in the left panel of the picture

7. You have a various menus for you to use
1. Basic Fixes
2. Tuning
3. Effects.
I normally use the Basic Fixes to create the water mark. You can try all other features to fine tune your pictures according to your requirements

8. Create a watermark
a. Select the ABC text button
b. You will get a check box – “Type anywhere to add a text
Now add your choice of words or your blog details or your name.
Then you will notice a circle like indicator
This indicator arrow will help us to do the following options
1. Font Type – Arial
2. Font size - 12
3. Style - B [bold], I [itilized], or U [underline]
4. Alignment – here you can choose the area or location where you want to place the watermark
5. Color selection: There are 3 option Choose both the ‘T’ and if you want in multi color effect then you can chose the middle one where the color will not be filled
6. Transparency - You can select the way your color want to be keep it to the maximum
7. Then tick mark the Apply button [here you have the option of clearing all changes or canceling]
8 After all required changes have been done then go to file menu and click on “SAVE AS” and give a new name to your picture. This is very important because your original picture will remain in tact.

Second Method
Another way to create a watermark without any alterations is
Go to the Export tab on the file menu
As soon you click on the export tab you will get a window export to folder
It will have the following options
1. Export location Where the picture is located
2. Name of the exported folder – the name of the new folder created by you
3. Image size – adjust as per your requirements to ….. Pixels
4. Image quality - change as per your requirement . – I choose automatic –this will preserves original quality of the picture
5. Watermark – click on this box [add watermark] There is a space provided below this and here you can give your http details, your name as desired by you.
6. Then click on the export tab and you have successfully added your watermark. Sine this is an inbuilt one it will appear at right hand corner of the picture

Now your watermark will appear on the picture

Hope this tutorial was beneficial to one and all.
Please do get back if you have any doubts and I shall explain to you.

Fish Oils

If you do not like eating fish try supplementing your diet with fish oil, which may provide the same heart-protective benefits. Studies of cardiac patients that supplemented their diets with 1 gram of fish oil a day were 45% less likely to die of unexpected, heart-related problems. Ask your doctor, if you would like to find out which fish oil is right for you.

Muffler

Hello Friends, I am sharing this muffler with you all. This was the pattern taught to me while I was studying 6 th standard [grade] in St. Lawrence High Scool in Mumbai in the year 1968. I have recreated this one. It is hazzle free as we do not have to make a knot while wearing. Hope all of you will like it.

1. Muffler as done

2. A loop has been created in the muffler itself

3. Muffler tip is being inserted into the loop

4. Another view of muffler being inserted into the loop

5. This picture shows the 'X'  shape of the muffler

6. Muffler will look like this around the neck

7. Muffler looks like this when worn around the head

This is an all purpose muffler and can be worn for all seasons.
Just including the directions of making a loop. Hope this will be helpful
The attraction is making the loop for which I had to use 3 needles - two needles to hold the sitches, with the help of the third knitted the stitches from the second needle. After the first row, you will have stitches left in the first needle. Then knit the require loop space in one needle and cut the yarn. Do not bind off. Then make the same required length in another needle. When you attain the required loop distance then join the stitches from both the needles. So you have achieved the loop.

Collage Aid

College Aid: Before spending the parent’s assets, spend the student’s assets first

When considering a student for financial aid, the federal formula expects the student to contribute 50% of the student’s income (minus the income protection allowance), and 35% of the student’s assets during his/her base year. Given this, the family should spend down the student’s money first. For example, instead of buying the student a car or a computer while he/she is in college, have the student buy it out of their own funds during the base year before you apply for FAFSA. This may increase the student's eligibility for aid and reduce the family's out-of-pocket costs.

Tibetan Buddhism Wisdom

When a strong wind blows, the clouds vanish and blue sky appears. Similarly, when the powerful wisdom that understands the nature of the mind arises, the dark clouds of ego disappear. Beyond the ego – the agitated, uncontrolled mind – lie everlasting peace and satisfaction.

Quit Smoking

The jury is definitely in on this verdict. Ever since 1960 when the Surgeon General announced that smoking was harmful to your health, Americans have been reducing their use of tobacco products that kill. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens. Could it be the Hollywood influence? It seems the stars in every movie of late smoke cigarettes. Beware. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' stance of Hollywood smokers. Thought for the day: Give up just one cigarette…. the next one.

Kadamba maalai [ Mixed garland]

Hi friends , please do look at my new creation - kadamba maalai. This maalai can adore any idol or deity/photo of your choice.

Materials:
Yarns: 2 mts in each shade of white, red, yellow, purple and green and 1 mts each for pompoms
French knitter set by Pony - 1 set

Pompom set by Pony

Method:
1. Tie 1 mts yarns together and make a small ball with colors of your choice. I followed this sequence- white[ malli poo], red [rose or aralli], yellow [ chamandi or thazampoo], purple [ vaada malli] and green [ maruvu or marichozhundu]
2. Cast on 4 stitches with the white yarn on to the French knitter and knit all the colors and bind off. This will have the apperance similar to I-cord

3. Make a colored pompom using the big [yellow] pompom ring. Ensure that you cover all color yarns . This will be used as a center piece
4. Make small pompoms using 2 colors in the small pompom[blue] ring. This will be used between two colors.
5. Take the begining and end of the cord/rope and tie it together. Make sure it is secured properly. Then attach the big pompom to the centre. This will become the centre of the garland.
5. Now you can tie all the small pompom to the intersection[between] two colors in the cord.
This will look like as per below. Now you have a beautiful garland.
