I am posting the image of French Knitter so Andrea - wonderwhygal Fiber arts Friday will get an idea of this small tool.I got this in Chennai [ where I live] from Pony brand [ needle industries]

The front part which has 4 nails like structure. Here we knit using yarns .
When yarn is knitter for a length, it will look like this. It looks similar to I-cord
It is very convinient and can be knit by kids above the age of 5+ years
