Martha Stewart Crafts Knit and Weave Loom Kit

My dream has come true. Now I am a happy owner of Martha Stewart loom knit kit. It is such a wonderful tool. For the past one year I was trying all my resources to get through  the net and I failed. Finally Catherine from Warm Up Cincinnati sent me one. My sister from her net friends cycle  also gave me as a gift. I have no words to thank them. Now I have started to use it. It is very compact and can be taken anywhere. Unlike the knitting needles it will not hurt anybody.

Warm up Cincinnati

Hi Friends- just wanted to tell you all that I have become a Volunteer to this initiative started by Catherine Butcher - warm up Cincinnati. This is one place where we can knit or crochet our left over yarns and contribute for a good cause

Listing their social work
Welcome to Warm Up Cincinnati...
the charity that warms peoples' lives

Warm Up Cincinnati is a chapter of Warm Up America!, which started in a small Wisconsin town with neighbors knitting and crocheting afghans for neighbors in need. Founder Evie Rosen came up with the idea of having volunteers knit or crochet small sections and then others join them together, and the idea quickly caught on. Today, Warm Up America! distributes warm afghans, caps and other items to tens of thousands of people, thanks to the generosity of knitters and crocheters around the country. Although it is a national project, Warm Up America! likes you to think locally. Please join Warm Up Cincinnati and help us produce and distribute afghans to the souls in need right here in the Cincinnati area. We're neighbors helping neighbors

As a Volunteer Here's how you can help...

You can help by knitting or crocheting 7 x 9 inch sections in any stitch and any color using machine washable yarn, and we'll turn them into afghans for those who have lost homes, fled abusive relationships, or are being cared for in hospices, shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes.

Afghans are distributed to individuals and families in need through community service organizations, as well as through chapters of national organizations.
Who Receives the Afghans?
Agencies in the Cincinnati area to which Warm Up Cincinnati will donate include:

• Women's shelters
• Nursing homes
• Children's hospitals
• Hospitals
• Hospices
• Daycare centers
• Veterans' homes
• Churches
• AIDS facilities
• Homeless shelters
• Children's homes
• American Red Cross chapters
• Salvation Army

I am doing all this for free. My small initiative to give back to the society. Once I got this mail, I started to search my stash, and found some colours match to the requirement. As I was worried about the quality and texture of the yarns and she suggested any yarns that are machine washable yarn.

It is my humble appeal if you can join me in this initiative and help this organisation. Remember it is a voluntary service and payments are not made.
