Hexagon coaster - yellow n green

Finally I was able to conquor to use the metal hooks. Just recently purchased the anchor threads from madura coats that are normally used for crochetting. Chose hexagon motif # 30 from Beyond the square - crochet motifs.

I used Tulip size zero - 1.75mm.I picked from my stash TK8 cotton pearly yarn from china a multi color of green and yellow yarn for the center. Then used art 4054 [th 20] of madura coats and did 3 motifs each in color yellow and green. Did 7 motifs toally. Then sewed all the pieces with a blunt sewing needles. It looks adorable as green is my favourite.

All these yarns were purchased from Tina - Chennai. The chinese yarn costed rs 25/- per ball of 10 gms and the anchor yarns costed rs 40/- per ball of 20 gms for yellow and rs 80/- per ball for the green yarn.Sharing you some pictures

# D23 - peach

I liked this peach color yarn from Oswal. It is a cotton yarn and thought I would make a cute doily. Hence completed this nice project. I have yet to master the cluster part, as the lasr row you can see some curls. Now I can see a cute doily that can be a useful coaster. Sharing the same with you.

# 28 doily bulk orange

Had gone to Parrys corner with sudha [ sudha out of the box] and purchased some yarns. This time I wanted to try out some bulky yarns and purchased some pastel shades. Unfortunately I was finding it difficult to knit even with size 5 mm straight needles. My crochet needles from Pradhan Embroidery came just in time. I picked up the size 6 mm hook of Pony brand and started to crochet. I found it easy and was able to complete doing it. Sharing the same with you. The size of the doily is 14 inches and it will be a great placement mat.

# Doily brown

I started to do a doily using 1.75 mm metal hook and very thin acrylic yarn . Since the yarn was too thin , I did not complete the entire pattern. I just finished it half. It looks great.
