The Squirrel's Lesson

 The squirrel's lesson

One day the cow Sally saw a squirrel taking a bite of gooseberry and then throwing it away. The squirrel kept on doing it again and again. The cow became impatient and asked the squirrel why he did not eat the gooseberry fully. To this the squirrel replied that he wanted to taste all the berries as he could not eat the mount of berries. The cow replied that if the squirrel was taking a bite and throwing the other half then no other animal will eat. The cow said this act of squirrel showed that he was wasting food . Then the squirrel what a grave mistake he had done and promised the cow that in future he will not do this type of act of wasting food.

Lord Vinayaka gets married

Lord Vinayaka gets married
The two daughters of Lord Brahma – Siddhi and Buddhi – had grown into beautiful maidens
and Lord Vinayaka was the chosen bridegroom for them. Having learnt about this desire
of Lord Brahma , sage Narada went to Kailas. He met Lord Vinayaka there and placed
the marriage proposal before him. Lord Vinayaka was kind enough to give his consent for
the marriage and as the next step, Naradha apprised Brahma of Ganesha’s approval.
Lord Brahma immediately went to Mount Kailas and met the divine parents of the groom –
Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. When they also agreed to the proposal and gave their
blessings, Brahma met Vinayaka and formally placed his desire of a grand weddings of his
daughters with him.

Lord Vinayaka agreed readily and Brahma went to Vaikuntha and informed Lord Vishnu and his consort Goddess Lakshmi also.

Devas, Siddhas, Vidyadharas, the guardians of the four directions and all the celestial beings
went to look after the arrangements for the weddings of the Supreme Lord. The chief architect
Viswakarma took charge of the festivities. Tasteful decorations followed all over the globe.
Kamadhenu , Karpagavruksha , all the dancing girls and every creature on Earth partook
in the grandeur and gaiety all round.

Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati started with their son Vinayaka from Kailas .Nandideva, the
twelve Suns, eleven Rudras and many others accompanied the bridegroom. Maha Vishnu
and Brahma received all the guests and ushered them into marriage hall ceremoniously.

Indrani, Anusuya and others helped Siddhi and Buddhi to get ready for the happy
occasion. Vidhyadhara provided music and there was chanting of mantras and showering
of flowers all over the place.

Lord Brahma and Goddess Saraswati gave their lovely daughters in marriage to Lord Ganesha,
with all the sacred rituals performed as per Vedas.

All the guests at the function raised hectic cheers all round and took the holy blessings of
Lord Vinayaka and his consorts-Siddhi and Buddhi . The splendid darshan of the Lord Supreme
with his consorts stayed in the mind of all devotees who graced the function.
