Two Friends

Two Lazy friends

There were two girls who were the best of friends. They started to live together

but they were too lazy. They did not do any work but pointed fingers to each

other. Hence their house was not clean. The house began to get visitors like rats

mouse and insects. Due to this atmosphere both fell sick. A doctor who

visited them was alarmed on the untidiness of the house. He said to both

of them that unless the house is kept clean, they will be sick always.

Hence to avoid sickness the house has to be cleaned up immediately.

Hence from then on wards the friends ensured they kept the house clean.

The horse and donkey

The Horse and the Donkey
A washer man had a horse and a donkey. One day, the washer man had loaded his donkey
with heavy bundles of clothes. The horse carried nothing.
The load on the donkey was very heavy. So he requested the horse, brother! The load is killing me. Please share some of it.
The horse neighed. Why should I? We horses are meant for riding.
The donkey kept walking on. Eventually, the donkey fell down exhausted by the heavy load.
then the washer man realised his mistake. He gave water to the donkey and transferred
the entire load of clothes onto the horse’s back.
The horse repented and thought, I should have listened to the donkey and accepted
half the load. Now I will have to carry the entire load to the market.

The hen and the falcon

The hen and the falcon
A falcon and a hen were talking to each other. The falcon said to the hen, you are the most
ungrateful bird.
Why do you say that? The hen asked angrily
The falcon replied, your masters feed you but you fly from one corner to another, if they come
to catch you. You are ungrateful. I am a wild bird yet, I always please those who are kind to me.
The hen asked quietly, how would you feel if you saw a falcon roasted over a fire? I have
seen hundreds of hens being cooked on fire. If you were in my place, you would never
come near your masters again and while I only fly from one corner to corner, you would
fly from hill to hill.

The Ugly tree

The ugly tree
Once, a long time ago, a forest had straight and beautiful trees. But in this forest, there was a lonely tree, whose tree trunk was hunched and bent. The branches were also twisted.
The other trees joked and made fun of this tree, calling it hunchback.
This made the tree sad. Whenever it looked at the other trees, it sighed and said it will be nice if I looked like other trees .GOD has been cruel.
One day a wood-cutter came to the forest and saw this tree and said that this twisted tree is of no
use to me. He went and cut down all trees that were straight and smooth.

Then the hunchback tree realised that GOD had saved his life buy making him twisted and ugly tree.

krishna and boiling milk

Krishna and boiling milk
One day, Yashoda sent all the servants for the preparation of Indra Yagya. She herself was busy in churning curd. While she was busy with her work, little Krishna woke up from his sleep and
started crying loudly. Yashoda put the curd aside and held her son in her arms. She started feeding
him with milk. But just then , she remembered that she had put the container of milk on the fire
and the milk must have boiled. She hurriedly put Krishna down on his bed and rushed towards the
kitchen. But Krishna’s hunger was not satisfied till then. Mother Yashoda had given priority to the
boiling milk and put him down from her  lap. So Krishna got angry. He held a stone and threw it
to the vessel of the curd. The vessel broke and the curd started flowing from it. He then broke the
vessel of butter too and distributed it among the monkeys of Gokul. When Yashoda returned and saw that it was Krishna’s naughtiness, she scolded him , but when she saw him sad , she lovingly took him in her lap and started feeding him again .

kill all new-born babies in Gokul. He sent the demon Trinavart to act accordingly. Trinavart went
to Nanda’s place and saw that Yashoda was carrying a small baby Krishna. Suddenly Yashoda felt the baby’s weight was increasing and she could not keep him in his lap. She placed Krishna on the
ground and went inside to do her household chores. Trinavart saw this as an opportunity and transformed himself into cloud and created a big cyclone. The entire area turned black and immediately Trinavart with his power and speed carried Krishna with him. He also could not bear the heavy weight of the baby. Krishna started to press the neck of the cloud and ensured that Trinavart could not breathe. So Trinavart finally fell on the ground and died, he became a rock in Gokul. Now people were worried and started to search for Krishna. They were shocked to see that Krishna was playing on the body of the dead demon. They took him immediately and were happy to know that Trinavart was dead. Hence Kans first attempt to kill Krishna failed.
