WIP 6

My  online teaching has become hectic,hence I am not able to concentrate on my blog. So I started to do what I like best - KNITTING. I am into creating various pouches or cases. Started to knit , long way to go. Sharing my unfinished work. I am using the seed stich pattern. Hope to complete soon.

WIP Black vest

My friend amiy had request me to make a  V neck pullover with long sleeves. I have just now touched in making the V neck and many miles to go. The middle stitch of the V neck I have placed it in a stitch holder. Now I am wondering  what I will do this stitch because I have already doing the piping for the V neck. Any suggestions welcom. Sharing my experience with you:

My sister was requesting me to do a pouch in color red. Hence took my DPN and created some pattern of my own. Sharing it today as it is wednesday.Hope I should be able to complete it before Valentine day.

WIP Grey Sweater

Hello friends today I am show casing my work in progress. My friend Amiy from Delhi sent me wool and asked me to do a cardigan/sweater for her dear husband. It has been ages that I have not touched knitting a sweater. I selected the design from my book Harvey Guides and took measurements from the net. I was confused about the gauge part. I racked myself in getting the correct gauge . Hence went to my buddy Vidhya from Threads given life and went and met her grand mother. She just ripped whatever I did and she guided me how to begin. She also made sketches and showed me how to calculate the arm hole shaping and neck shaping. Under her blessings I have progressed so far.

I am doing the front and back continuously. hence I have placed markers in red to diffrenciate the left front, back and the right front.

WIP 2 multi colored sweater

While browsing you - tube , I just got stuck to this pattern. It is called as Raspberry stitch. There are 3 variations to it, but basically the purl and knit stitches are same.The pattern has an embossed effect. Immediately I just remembered Heidi of Heidi Bears as she just adores these sort of stitches. I liked her picot edging pattern.Sharing the same , I just have started and a long way to go .

I am using a circular knitting needle and I have this problem.The twine or the cord attatched with the needles are not straight. I would appreciate if you can suggest some remedies so that I can make the cord straight. Your help will be appreciated.

WIP - 1 Multi color yarn dish cloth

As the new  year began, thought I must do something unusual.While roaming the streets of Broadway [ Chennai], we went to Sha Nathmull. I was surprised to see that he had  a multi colored yarn skeins. What a surprise, I just picked some skeins and started to knit. Hrishi wanted me to make him a dish cloth- small towel that he could take it along his lunch bag. I am just half way through, hope to complete by this week end. You can see that the multi color yarn itself is throwing up as a pattern

WIP 4 blue case

Hi Dears, today is the last wednesday of the year and it is time to post one of my work in progress creation. Today I am sharing one of the case I have not finished. A lot of work needs to go into it. Have to sew the side seams and the cast on edge. Must hunt for a large snap button. Hunting for some embelllishments to adore the center of the case. WIP 3 - christmas tree

It is end of the year and the Christmas fever is across the globe. Thought why I should not do something. After racking my brain I started to do a christmas tree on a knit patch. Took the jenny loom and knitted a patch with yarns. Then with wollen yarn embroidered the christmass tree. Used brown yarn for the trunk and green for the leaves. Must add some embellishments to make up a wall hanger. Hope to complete by this week. Seasons greetings to one and all

WIP 2 - black -white case

Just wanted to tell about the status of my ongoing project. I was commissioned to do a case using black and white yarns. I started kniting with double pointed needles. Wanted to post the status of how far I have knitted. it is supposed to be a birthday gift. Hope to complete this wekend.

Necklace in progress

Hi Friends - from today onwards will be participating WIP[work in progress] Hence sharing my unfinished creation. I am making a necklace which I have not been able to finish.I have to finish an I-cord for 40 cm and make a knot. Hope to finish it by the weekend.
