Namaskaram - salutations I dedicate my blog to the enormous art lovers across the globe I love knitting so much that I have started a blog for knitting.Knitting is a job that I will like to go on.Through knitting I breathe life into many people's life. It is knitting time. When I want to relax I do it with knitting. I am a knitting buff.I love to do knitting on various topics. There is no way that you can stop me doing knitting.I am born with a flare for knitting.My face brightens once I touch the knitting needs.The electronic media has helped knitting to travel across the world.Every stitch made will talk about how knitting has influenced people.I have done some and would like to share it with you. Some patterns have been taken from free knitting sites. Some designs have been created by me. Many a times I have modified the patterns to suite my requirements. Finally I can say that I breathe knitting, I talk knitting, I walk knitting - a total knitaholic

Ballerina cap


This is called as amboda aka ballerina cap. crocheted with 4 ply white acrylic yarn and used 4 mm hook. added some gold beads.It is also called as jura- bun. a wonderful hair accessory

Bird- chime

wow nice feeling for creating this lovely bird .used pink acrylic yarn and size 8 straight knitting needles. make a square and folded into half like samosa.filled it with poly fil and used a black felt for the beak.it has become a wonderful chime

Rabbit - bunny

Rabbit since navrathri festival is coming have started to create / knit some animals for the golu . Used 4 ply acrylic yarn and size 8 straight knitting needles Rabbit

Red rose

crocheted this lovely rose for the june month cal for PAC — since I know only the basics in crochet ,I enjoyed doing this.this can be used as a brooch,in hair bands

knitted this small utility pouch - learnt 3 stitches garter, moss n rib stitch . I loved the color combination . attached a macrame cord for the sling

skirt

Gifted this wonderful orange skirt to my neighbour ashu kutty who is 5 years old waist is 27 inches n height is 20 inches. the waistband is elasticated n has a draw cord

Knitted this pretty skirt for my kutty neighbour. the actual color is orange - bad light
waist fits 27 inches.the waist band is elasticated and it also has a rope




GS doily

MY favourite GS doily. Did this in yellow yarns. Must learn how to avoid ripples

wow created this lovely rug using 8 ply yarns from Raja stores- chennai - Pradhan stores - mumbai - used 8 mm crochet hook it is 26 inches wide

mock camisole

wow created this neck patch for the clip on mock camisole in PAC. this was inspired from http://www.crochetology.net/2015/05/how-to-use-stitch-pattern-to-make.html did one extra row of sc Used pink acrylic yarn and 4 mm hook. This I stitched to my black chudidar 

japanese flower

crochet this japanese flower for the CAL .used 4 ply yardely yarn n 4 mm hook. I stitched this to my yellow kurta top


table cloth - fillet

completed this fillet crochet using anchor 20 thread n steel hook size 1 mm

coaster

wow learnt the fillet method of crocheting.It is one of the chart from Annie's Attic book. Lesson learnt never use a variegated yarn for this type as design does not show . used size 8 anchor thread and 2 mm hook. Lot to learn

created this pretty lotus fillet for the CAL in PAC using pink acrylic yarn n 4 mm hook. Pattern from pinterest

5 petal flower

tatted this 5 petal flower- used 4 ply yarn and color purple. This is my first try at tatting

the Laurel n Hardy of my 6 petal clover in tatting - learning to join the rings,Added a bead in the center

Tatted this wonderful rakhi for this year .added some beads. Learning to do the basic round

Indian Independence is coming shortly hence tatted this tatting ankaras on this wonderful moment imbibing all the colors associated with Indian tricolor.Ankaras also known as onion rings.added some beads in the center

Fish - tatting

Dedicating this to Lord krishna for his avatar of matsya - fish on occasion of Gokulashtami. Learning to read diagrams in tatting.

Mandir /mandabam

One of my Phd that I completed. It is a mandir knitted . Completed this beautiful mandap . this pooja mandir is a must in all hindu household.
Have inserted pencil for the pillars and my Ganesha is having a nice rest
I made 2 rectangle pieces one for top n one for bottom - used variegated yarns for the pillars
