When I started to learn crocheting I found out that the yarns/threads used for crochetting is very different from the yarns that I use for knitting. Each type of yarns requires specific hook sizes. Hence one has to be careful when using hooks to the type of yarns you want to use. Giving you a list of yarns that will be suitable for crocheting both cotton and woollen yarns. All these are available in India.Remember that for crocheting most of the people use cotton yarns as they are more flexible for crocheting doilies,as doiles are worked in circles and must have a soft handfeel. It is to be noted that doilies are used as a decorative piece and must drape well.
